Haylage
Due to our customers requests we have been producing square bale haylage for the last few years from the same quality grass fields that we use for our hay production. Instead of letting the grass dry down to become hay we bale the haylage in small square bales (approx 250kg). The bales are then wrapped in at least 6 layers of plastic to ensure that the grass is kept in an airtight atmosphere for partial fermentation to preserve all the goodness of the grass. The key benefit of haylage is that there is absolutely no dust and more of the nutrients are preserved. The size of bale we produce can be delivered to anywhere we can get our trailer to without any machinery. However care must be taken not to damage the wrap if you are not going to use them immediately as once opened bales will start to spoil after about 7 days. We use specialist machinery to carry all the bales to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.

Collection from the Rochetts Farm is available by appointment only with a minimum collection value of £80 because we are a working farm and do not run a shop. So please give us a ring if you prefer to collect.
